About Us

Mamil Cycling was conceived on the 8th October 2010 in cycling’s spiritual home, Manchester velodrome by three cycling mad fathers John, Rich and Andy watching their three cycling mad sons James, Charlie and Ash blast around the track in a series of keirin races.

We’d all been through the corporate mill and felt a need to build something ourselves with real integrity and value around the sport we love. Rather than let the idea float away into the stands above our heads, we got some more coffee and started to work out what we needed to do to make it real. Scary.

Many coffees later and after a many jokes about ‘blue sky thinking in the imaginarium’, Mamil Cycling was incorporated as a business on 7th January 2011. The results are what you see on this website. Andy, one of our founders, has moved on now and the business took on two more Directors in 2013, namely Barry Goodyear and Craig Ansell to continue the development of Mamil.

Come and talk to us, tell us if you think we’re mad, give us feedback, come and ride with us and, most importantly, tell us how we can support you to get the most out of your cycling.
